Can motorized blinds connect to my smart home?

Yes. Our motorized systems integrate with Amazon Alexa, Google Home and IFTTT, and can be controlled by remote or smartphone app.

Are motorized blinds worth it for small windows?

Motorization adds the most value on large, hard-to-reach or numerous windows. For a few standard windows, manual shades are often more cost-effective — we'll help you decide.

Do motorized blinds need to be plugged in?

They can be battery-powered or hardwired into your home's electrical. Hardwiring is best planned during a renovation or build.

Do you install motorized blinds?

Yes. Professional installation is included on our motorized retractable screens and available on motorized shades across the Lower Mainland.

Motorized blinds let you raise, lower and tilt your window coverings at the touch of a button — or on a schedule. Bloombug Screens offers motorized roller shades and motorized retractable screens for large openings, with smart-home integration for Lower Mainland homes.

A quiet Somfy motor hidden inside the roller lets you operate even large or hard-to-reach windows effortlessly. Control by remote, smartphone app, or integrate with Amazon Alexa, Google Home and IFTTT to set schedules that lower shades during the hottest part of the day.

Motorization shines on large openings — our SmartScreen system covers spans up to 30 ft wide with a motorized retractable screen, perfect for patios, garages and oversized glass walls. Professional installation is included on motorized systems.
