Retractable screen doors
A screen rolls out from a side housing and retracts when not needed, leaving the doorway fully clear. This is the premium choice: nothing to step over, no frame in the view, and the mesh is protected from pets and kids when retracted. Best for doors used for entertaining and furniture moving.
Sliding screen doors
A traditional sliding screen runs on a track parallel to the glass door. It's affordable, simple and easy to repair, but it occupies the doorway and can be bumped off-track. Good for budget-conscious homes and standard-height doors.
Magnetic / walk-through screens
A centre-split mesh that magnets together and parts as you walk through. Cheap and tool-free to install, but less durable — best as a seasonal stopgap rather than a permanent fix.
